Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist as well as a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist, television personality as well as the proprietor of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. She emigrated out of Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. At 21 she became head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she became the voice of Huffington Post. In part, her fame has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna's popularity began in 2003, when she became an independent candidate for the California recall election to succeed then-Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Her name was voted as the most Influential Women in Media by Forbes in 2009, and was awarded the 12th place in this list. The same year, the Guardian named her on the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division that also includes additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. Though she shared a close friendship with both of her parents but it was their connection that helped shape her. As a child, she showed leadership traits which she is still renowned for. As a 16-year-old her family moved in her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. As the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head of Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of master's in Economics. After her graduation she became a columnist, critic as well as a TV host. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
